A Special Card for a Special Lady

I recently read an article about Edna Clayton, a wonderful lady who is turning 101 on 31st January.

Edna spent her 100th birthday alone with no visitors due to the ongoing pandemic. She eagerly awaited a card from the Queen, however this never arrived. Following this, the staff at Hector House decided that this year would be different. They have planned a party bus for Edna and have requested cards from the public.

So far, Edna has received 4,500 cards, which I think is absolutely incredible! Cards have an unparalleled ability to send love across the globe. No matter how far apart, you can always show someone you’re thinking of them with this simple gesture. This is what Edna has said about the cards she has received so far:

“It reminds me that there a lot of lovely, kind people in this world. I am planning on going on a party bus, first time for everything, a wee afternoon tea afterwards, hopefully with my boy and my fellow residents”

We wanted to do our bit to make Edna’s birthday extra special this year. Although we may not be able to travel to Glasgow and sing to Edna in person, that wasn’t going to stop us!

I got the team together, and we recorded ourselves singing ‘happy birthday’ for Edna. We then used our very fancy equipment to add the track to one of our Personalised Singing Cards. The card is now on its way to Edna, ready for her birthday on Monday.

If you’d like to get involved, you can surprise Edna with this brand-new Flower Bouquet Card that I have specially handpicked for the occasion. We’re giving you FREE EXPRESS TRACKED DELIVERY on this item so Edna can be surrounded by flowers on her big day.

At checkout use the code 'EDNA' and use the address Edna Clayton, Hector House, 2 Hector Road, Glasgow G42 3RL.
