Is it just me, or has Christmas come around super quick?
The last few weeks have flown by at Love Kate’s, with my hand-picked Christmas cards and gifts for 2024 as popular as ever. I know how important it is to find just the right card or gift, not only at Christmas but all year round.
2025 is almost here—a year that marks the end of the first quarter of the 21st century. It’s a time to reflect on what we’ve achieved and look ahead to the opportunities and milestones the coming year will bring. For me, it’s also a personal milestone: my half-century!
Launched Our New Website

Looking back at 2024 and the milestones we celebrated together, our improved webshop launched and is proving popular with customers.
It was important to help our customers find just the right card or gift, so we’ve invested in our shop to ensure shopping with us is a great experience. From a clever search box to more detailed filters and lots of other features, the feedback from you all has been positive.
Shopping with an account keeps all your orders and tracking in one handy place, and by signing up for our brand-new VIP Rewards, we can thank you for shopping with us by offering money-off vouchers, gifts, and even free delivery.
Recommending a friend is a great idea too!
Our shop now includes a new Party section, plus lots of lovely giftwraps. As well as hand-picked cards and gifts, we hope to help you celebrate with everything you need.
Customer feedback is important to us and our small team. 2024 was a year we said a sad goodbye to Jasmine, who relocated away from Cornwall. The great news is we welcomed Alice to the team, who’s settled in perfectly. Alice is super social, so do keep in touch with all our news on social media. As well as lots of pics of the team (including the dogs), we love seeing your photos too.
Customer feedback helps everyone —not only can feedback from one customer help another decide whether to buy an item, but we love to know when we’re doing well. If something isn’t right, we love to be able to put it right too! Moreover, we love to see your photos—cards on display, a balloon at your party, or friends and family enjoying their gift. Remember to tag us #CelebrateWithKate so we can share it with everyone.
Looking back on 2024, our new ranges included lots of popular pop ups, stationery gifts, and exciting designs of my Snazzy socks. I’ve been able to help team member Tabby launch her own exciting range of artistic greeting cards. I’ve also found lots of unusual gifts like candles from Cotton & Grey and beautiful pebble art from La De Da!
In 2025 we have new ranges of milestone pop ups coming, with ages for every birthday. Not only that, but our new website will make it easy to add a special tag, so you can make every card you send personal! You can even send a card ‘From the Dog’.
Our personal touches are what set Love Kate’s apart, not only in the products and customisation options we offer, but also in the extra personal touch you can expect.
Alice joins a team of 8, based here in Cornwall, that carefully pick and pack customer orders. We handwrite greetings carefully inside all your cards. We wrap special gifts in gorgeous wrapping paper and send to your nearest (and furthest) to celebrate anniversaries, weddings, and birthdays. We help celebrate birthdays with personal Balloons in a Box, with singing greetings and floating surprise balloons. We help customers place orders over the phone. If we think something looks slightly adrift with an order, we take the time to check with you.
In 2025, we’re excited to announce our long-awaited letterbox gifts range, which will allow customers to send a collection of special treats through their door. I can’t wait for this!
As I look back at the business since I started selling greeting cards in 2008, I’m proud that we are now regarded highly as a one-stop shop for so many of our loyal customers. Our service is as important as the selection of ranges that we offer. Helping customers celebrate—and sometimes mark sad moments too—is what Love Kate’s is all about.
We don’t sell cards. We don’t sell gifts. If you know, you know. And—I hope you do.
#1000heartsandhomes campaign

This Christmas, to try to be more than just another card shop I came up with an idea to give away cards to help send extra Christmas wishes. My campaign went from strength to strength and supported 2nd-class postage, sending cards from Land’s End to John O’Groats for just 85p. Please do hop over and read all about this campaign, and view the latest gallery, which is filling up with photos of you all sending and receiving your ‘Together with Wishes’ cards.
Once again, I’m proud of my team, and the talented Maddy and creative Tabby—what superstars they truly are!
Kate’s 100K Run for GOSH

Knowing I’m approaching yet another birthday—and a milestone at that—2024 was the year that I decided to start running. A bit like Forest Gump, I kept on running! In September, I ran 100 kilometres and raised nearly £500 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
Thankfully, I didn’t grow a beard, but as I approach 50, I know that’s probably just around the corner!
GOSH is a hospital that my husband Chris’s daughter has stayed at with our grandson Leo—who’s disabled—many times, so I very much enjoyed running and raising money at the same time.
Waffle and Noodle Semi-Retiring

Chris, along with our two dogs, is looking forward to working a little less with me next year. As Chris hangs up his packing tape guns a little more, I hope he’ll enjoy more time to potter at home with the dogs. Waffle turned 15 last month, and Noodle will be 14 in a few weeks, so with a combined dog age of over 200 years, our office pups have earned their place at home on the sofa.
Of course, they’ll still be making appearances on Pasty Fridays!
Looking to 2025!

Looking forward to 2025, I hope that you will continue to spread the word that Love Kate’s is here to help you celebrate moments, no matter how big or small.
My 50th birthday promises to be a big milestone celebration—but I’ll celebrate it quietly if I can...
So, Milestones, big or small, give us a chance to pause, celebrate, and focus on what truly matters. As we enjoy the festive season, let’s also think about how we can make 2025 meaningful—not just for ourselves, but for others too. Even small gestures can brighten someone’s day, reminding us that the simplest acts of kindness often have the greatest impact.
Wishing you and yours a Happy Christmas and warmest wishes for the season.
With Love,
